Your company's legal name
Don’t get cute with your company's legal name.
The rules about naming your company are quite specific.
Delaware says: the name of the company shall contain 1 of the words "association," "company," "corporation," "club," "foundation," "fund," "incorporated," "institute," "society," "union," "syndicate," or "limited," (or abbreviations thereof, with or without punctuation)
But under no circumstances can you use the word “bank” in your name.
Stripe was initially incorporated as “Entity Inc.”
Funny, right?
But it caused them to run up a bunch of unnecessary legal fees because the lawyers who were preparing their documents couldn’t tell if “Entity” was the actual name of the company or a placeholder that they’d forgotten to fill in.
Save future-you some pain and don't get too creative here. Your Product Name, Inc. is a great choice if it's available.
